Andrew Waller BSc (Hons), MSc, PgDip, GCGI, MBPsS, MBACP

I strongly believe that mental well-being is based on living authentically, and being ourselves rather than trying to meet societal expectations.

My focus is upon your self-discovery and empowering you to make choices aligned with your values, rather than trying to change behaviours that may be central to your identity. Just as my own aspirations have taken me on a trajectory from a career in a robust commercially orientated environment, as I resolved instead to follow my instinct and desire to find a more fulfilling and rewarding vocation.

We shall work together; my role is to support you in this journey towards self-alignment. Respecting your autonomy and your freedom to shape your own life's direction through choices and decisions.

I specialise in Existential Psychotherapy, but typically employ an eclectic client-centred approach, drawing from various counselling and psychotherapy methods.

My professional experience includes roles at Mind (Hertfordshire) and Headstrong. I hold both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy. I now lecture in psychology at Middlesex University, teaching across various psychotherapy and counselling courses to students at different academic levels.  Additionally, I have a growing interest in research and am currently pursuing a PhD in psychology.

I have experience of a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, abuse, and trauma, with clients of all ages.
